Can I forward Text Messages to your Contact Center?

Most phone carriers don't support SMS forwarding, but you have two options for making SMS available to your clients:


1. Port the SMS function of your phone service into our Contact Center (VoIP and landline only) - you WILL still be able to view inbound texts and create new outbound texts via our Textline® integration. Textline® has both a web and mobile app for your convenience.


2. Let us create a brand new number dedicated solely to SMS service for your clients. We can also host the number within Textline® to enable your personal use of your SMS function if you wish.

How will you access my Emails?

We will provide you a forwarding email address within our domain so that you can automatically forward all inbound emails to our Contact Center - almost every modern email providers emails automatic forwarding. When we reply to your clients, the email address will reflect your business name as opposed to the "My Salon Desk" branding. We'll also BCC you on all responses so that you can be aware of all of our communication with your clients.

How do I add Web Chat onto my website?

We'll send you the custom code that you can use to add chat functionality to your website - you can easily insert it into your CMS or forward it to your web designer to implement on your behalf. Chats will be visible within the Textline® app for your review.

If I port my Number into your Contact Center, can I still use it?

Yes, you can still easily make outbound calls if you port your phone number into our contact center. We only require that you port the texting functionality, meaning all calling functionality would still remain with you.


Via the Textline® app, you can view all inbound text messages and create new outbound messages. We'll ensure that any inbound messages our Receptionists are handling are notated so you don't accidentally text the same client while we are replying to their messages. We'll both be able to successfully utilize your number without any unwanted interference.

What types of numbers can be ported?

The SMS function of VoIP Numbers (Ring Central, Google Voice, Dialpad, Open Phone, Grasshopper, etc.) and landlines can be ported into our system. Unfortunately we can't port the SMS function of a cellphone number - the entire number would have to be ported into our call center meaning you would lose both calling and texting capabilities.
